BBQ Bruschetta
Diced tomatoes, onions, garlic and fresh basil marinated in our own BBQ sauce then baked on a cayenne buttered French loaf with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Grilled, thinly sliced steak that has been cured in our signature spiced balsamic vinegar marinade. Served on a kaiser roll with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss cheese and caramelized onions.

I go to this restaurant the most out of all the many other restaurants in Peterborough. If you like cajun food you have to go to Hot Belly Mamas. The food is excellent and the prices are even better. I could eat here everyday, so you could imagine how sad I was when I had to move away from Peterborough. I wish I could have brought the restaurant with me!! If the owner reads this start selling the dressing for the house salad and you will make a fortune. :)
I have been to Hot Belly Mama's quite a few times, usually for dinner. My favourite meal dishes have been Blackened Chicken or Caribbean Roti with sides of sweet potato fries and house salad. The Blackened Chicken is a little bit juicy and a little bit dry and it has enough spice to make you reach for your Virgin Strawberry Daquiri a couple of times. The Caribbean Roti is sweet and tangy and one of a kind! I do pay a visit to this restaurant more often than any other restaurant, not mainly because of their menu selections, but because of a reasonable price (for students) for a good portion of reasonable food. I'm not saying that the food is not good; the abovementioned items are fabulous but there are only so many things in the menu, and my favourites are the Blackened Chicken and the Roti. Their desserts are absolutely heavenly and filling. Suggestion- Separate desserts after a meal might be a bit too much! Their Vanilla Creme Brulee is unforgettable
Hush Puppies Appetizer is the absolute best and I get it every time I eat there.I have had multiple things but the best is the Steak Sandwhich and the stuffed peppers. Pretty good side dishes, the sweet potatoe fries are a must have but the only have one kind of salad dressing which is a weird house and I thought it was strange that they didnt even have an oil and vinegar
great atmospher and great food. HBM's has a great menu and all the cajun fav's you would be looking for a few others. The service is Ok, but can be slow at times. But all the more time to take in the surroundings and order some extra "peel & pull" shrimp
I have eaten here many many times and I love it. The crawdads are great!
