I had a horrible experience after buying $70 worth of food only to realize the food wasnt fresh and had thrown up the rest og the food by night: ( Only the naan was fresh but the veggie dishes were extremely over seasoned and the tandoori chicken was not done and practically raw in the middle ..i will not be going there again ! Thats for surr
Great
2 apps 2 drinks 2 dinners with left overs for the next day.. Under $60 unreal, we go all the time
The food was average. It was not bad but I wouldn't say the most delicious either since the chicken was a bit dry. Although the serving size was ample. The service itself was quick and we were seated quickly. We ate on the patio as the inside was nothing too special. The alcohol was heavily promoted here as you'll need it to enjoy the decor if your inside. When we arrived here we actually thought it was one place but Madras Palace is the next restaurant apparently serving South Indian food, as to where this Banjara is North Indian food. Either way, overall the place was average in terms of all things considered.
We were about 8 people who went for dinner and was our second time here. Firstly flies were hovering everywhere which was annoying, then fruit flies fell into my beer. The first time I experienced the same and thought there must be some improvement but guess they are least interested. The service was good but I have heard from somewhere that the servers do not get to keep the tips which I thought was ridiculous. When I asked the server whether they get the tips the server hesitated so I assumed they dont. Secondly I was reading some review on the menu cover and it said that eating this food is one of the best ways to stay healthy..With all that cream and oil I am afraid I dont agree. The food does taste great but it aint healthy. Inspite of the food being tempting I dont think we will be eating here often.
DIRTY+FLIES every where, i never go their again. The samouse was design for Hanuman itself 30cm by 20 cm(or big- foot for Canadian ppl to understand) .The butter chicken was burned and did taste like a cabbage soup. Now the stupid waiters got iphone type stuffs to take order, common man we just want good food not fancy technology show. The Plain Naan was good, and the chicken curry was acceptable. But it appear to be a dirty place. i was a bechara..
It is hands down the best Indian restaurant I've been to. The service is gratifying! We were attended to, the second we stepped foot in the restaurant. The food was luscious! We were served complimentary dessert from the head-chef himself! It felt great to receive a personalized service. The prices of the dishes were totally reasonable and the quantity was ample! We left the place satisfied and full! Definitely going back there!
ok this is the worst indian place in toronto.butter chicken tastes like tamato soup..never goin back..wasted 40$ for carp...
I have always loved Indian food, but this is by far the best Indian food I've ever had. I have shared this restaurant with all of my close friends, and even the ones who never previously liked indian food admit that it is delicious. Try the Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma with their gigantic naan (the naan is like the size of a pizza dough, it's incredible), and the paneer is delicious too if you don't want chicken. Even though i love spicy foods, and 'hot' isn't too hot for me, I always order the food 'medium' because i want to be able to appreciate the whole range of delicious flavours. The mango lassis are also delicious. I have gone to this restaurant several times, and we order delivery from here about once per week. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. It almost looks like a fast food joint from the outside and it's not in a trendy location...but this is the best Indian food I've ever eaten. And in contrast to one of the other reviewers we had very friendly and competent service. The prices are very reasonable and there's free parking to boot. It's all good.
Absolutely amazing buffet!! Passed by this restaurant this afternoon with a few friends and decided to try it. soothing ambiance, delicious food and friendly staff, -- It was just perfect. Will be dining here more often from now on.
Early around 6PM recently my daughter and I sat for 20 minutes (I looked) and were ignored, not offered water nor eye contact, let alone asked about ordering anything. 9 other diners were there (we counted to pass the time). It was less than half full. I was impressed by my child's quiet and calm. After 20 minutes, I thought about taking one of the water jugs on the service counter and pouring it onto the waiter's trousers, I was so annoyed. Was it simply a hatred of children, were we somehow not appropriate clients? I was sorely disappointed to have promised my child a delicious meal and have to leave with nothing. When we went to go, my complaint about the time and incompetent service were met with arrogant or perhaps mentally challenged grins from the staff. This did not improve my mood. I do not regret the horrid things I said, but it was not a satisfying experience. My experience was embarrassing and the wait staff were rude, arrogant and thus intolerable. Shame as the take out is pretty good.
