So why do you go to the gym?
If the answer is to train with weights and equipment, get in better shape, and not feel like you are in a spandex singles bar, then go into Excel and sign up. Lots of equipment, friendly staff, an owner who you can actually talk to, and members who are there to do what you should do in a gym, TRAIN. I think the point of what gyms were meant to be has gotten lost with the "everything for everyone" mentality of commercialized gyms. I just want a gym where I can train, and not go broke doing it. I don't want to be pressured endlessly for personal training, have plasma TV's pointing in every direction distracting he heck out of me, and all the while hearing screaming coming out of yet another spin class. Impersonal commercial gyms are not for me, and that's why I'm at Excel.
