Venez déguster un délicieux repas chez Ej's Rest & Tavern. Ej's Rest & Tavern est ouvert en soirée tous les jours de la semaine. L'accès est aisé par transport en commun. Le secteur avoisinant est connu pour ses nombreux parcs et magasins.
The carpet is so worn and dirty. I mean it’s pile is gone and it has a black shine to it.
This floor is disgusting.
Next I take my 5 year old to the washroom.
The stall on the left was full or feces. Toilet paper dispenser damaged.
The stall on the right had no toilet paper.
The garbage can was full.
So it begs the question, if they don’t clean the carpets, and they didn’t clean the bathroom after close or before opening, do they clean the kitchen?
I've been going to Ej's for several years now and have noticed a steady decline. I use to attend with friends on an almost monthly basis, now it's once every six months or more.
Tonight I walked out of the bar. We were greeted at the door by a waitress who stated we could sit anywhere. So we picked out a table ... and waited ... and waited ... and waited. The waitress that greeted us never followed us or showed up with menus, she never came back to ask us if we'd like a drink or even noticed us sitting there. The bar had many empty tables, so being too busy was not an excuse. In fact, she stood around talking and eating mints and paying no attention to us.
After close to ten minutes of sitting and waiting for a menu, a drink, or even a hello and welcome from the waitress, we got up and left. Awful service.
This has been an ongoing issue lately at Ej's. Most of the waitress' are awful, however there is one exception, Charlotte who is a fantastic waitress and person. The menu has also changed over the past year or a little more. It seems as if Ej's is trying to hard with the new menu and it falls short. The old classic menu was exactly what a pub type restaurant should serve.
Tonight's experience was the final event for me attending a declining restaurant. I shall try another restaurant or pub where I may actually receive service!
