Owner Lillian Reimer opened the shop in 1988 after her growing interest in collectibles outgrew the flea markets and collectors shows she frequented.
“It started out as a hobby, I was into collectibles. This place actually started out as a collectibles and used furniture store. As my knowledge grew and after listening to what my customers wanted over the years, I started to get more designer pieces,” Lillian explains.
Some of Lillian’s favourite designers are Charles Eames, Arne Jaccobsen and Herman Miller, to name a few, but she’s always learning about new (old) ones. She has made some great connections over her almost three decades on the strip and is always expanding her knowledge and her inventory.
“I am constantly learning new things. I’m always listening to customers, finding out what they want and checking things out for them,” she says. “I meet a lot of other collectors too that have a good source of knowledge. They can teach you so much about the things they collect.”
