We all have one of them in our lives: the friend or relation who has everything. Buying gifts for them can leave you at wit’s end. Blue Moon Accessories owner Michele Durling is quick to spot the lost shopper wandering into her Willow Park boutique on the seemingly impossible mission to locate a gift for such a recipient. “It’s the main reason people come into the store,” she says. “We’re the go-to store to buy for that hard-to-buy-for friend or that item you won’t find anywhere else.”
Then there's the man who is confounded by what to get his partner. “We love husbands. They come in and have no knowledge of what they want,” she says. “We’ll send him off with something he loves and that she’s going to love, too.” It isn’t difficult to find that sure-to-please item in Michelle’s boutique. You could easily spend an hour or more looking at the one-of-kind jewellery, accessories, scarves, funky tights, colourful tunics and sweaters.
