Mimma Vero, owner of Salon MICCA, is passionate about the power of education. It’s the cornerstone of her business and she believes it gives her clients and her employees real results. “If you lack education, you can’t survive in this industry,” she says. “It’s a very fashion-forward business, no one wants to have a stylist who doesn’t know the latest trends. Techniques and methods are constantly changing and you have to stay educated to be leaders in the industry.”
Mimma trained herself in the word of tresses by working Ontario's hair convention circuit, where she spent seven years as a platform artist. It was while working at hair conventions that Mimma learned all about the very best the industry had to offer, and she decided to open her own salon in 2002.
“I decided that with all my years as an educator and platform artist, I had the confidence to open my own salon," Mimma recalls. “I wanted to train my own team with my knowledge and pass it on to the younger generation.”
