My first visit was pleasant enough. We were greeted right away and accomodated for our party of 5. At first I was not really impressed with only the 'make your own stirfry' option for dinner but was told it was excellent. Tons of selection of meats, veggies and sauces...wasn't sure where to start! Guys at the fryer seemed to really enjoy their jobs, it was very entertaining to watch. Food was really yummy. Atmosphere was alright, didn't really notice any defectives like others are posting. Waitress was somewhat reliable in refilling our drinks. When it comes to tipping, the guys at the fryer really earn theirs however not sure about the waitresses as all they did was bring us water....nothing from the menu was ordered. The only downside to this place is the price (15.99 per person Mon-Thurs is the deal we did) but I guess for others it's an awesome price for the food.
I went there yesterday with my husband and another couple and had a great time. I dont know why everyone has such negative stuff to say about this place. Yes the decor is a little out dated and the bathrooms are not the best but the food was great, our server was excellent and the guys on the grill were fantastic. I did notice that the soup and salad bar is now longer available however the server let us know that we still get both included with our meal. All the employees looked as if they enjoyed their jobs and I saw none of what other reviews complain about. On a saturday night its understandable that its going to be dificult to keep EVERYTHING perfectly tidy. Overall we had a great time and would go back again.
I was there yesterday and they've cut back even further. Only a choice of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco Sauce. No more salad bar or soup bar. Had to order from server. The quality of the food has deteriorated. We used to enjoy going to the Mongolian Grill, but I'm afraid it's lost us as patrons and it seems to be self-destructing.
The Mongolian Grill used to be one of my favourite restaurants. Some things have changed however -- the food quality doesn't seem as good, the selection of sauces isn't nearly as good as it was, and they've eliminated the salad bar and the soup station.
What hasn't changed is the atmosphere -- it's looked the same as the first time I saw it years ago, and is getting worse every day -- the paint is peeling, the seats are worn/falling apart, the bathrooms are disgusting. This place is in need of a major overhaul.

The food was good, our server was a doll, but the manager or owner who ever he was walking around constantly staring at people and watching over the serves was a bit unnerving. Everytime I looked around he was peaking over tables and stuff, really weird and made for an uncomfortable lunch.
They also need better signage. There $6.00 Thursday menu special says NOTHING about only being able to go up once. Even when we called the day before and asked about it the person on the phone did not let us this either. If I would have known about it I would have packed up my first bowl but because it I thought it was unlimited I had a tiny first bowl and a tiny second bowl which ended in my paying over $15.00!! AND they didn't even have debit so I had to put it no my Visa!

Dark-Dirty atmosphere- Food debris on floor and buffet severy. Raw meats- including chicken & beef sitting along side of raw veg. Not to mention raw shell fish sandwiched between the meats & veg. If you have a food allergy- DO NOT GO HERE....... At the cookery all food gets individual attention- using the SAME wooden sticks- Cross contamation ?? Not worth the $$- or the stomach issues.
It's great, lets you choose your food without all the prep time. Those who don't like the food probably don't do much cooking of their own b/c it's yummy if you mix and match properly!

The food was great. i love the fact that you can personally choose everything and the quantity that goes into your meal! It is really neat how they cook the food also. Even though we werre a large group, the wait staff were really good at keeping the drinks flowing!
the food was okay, not bad, but the service is what i disliked alot. i read some reviews before i went there and would have to agree with the very poor service. first off no one in the place smiled, and we hardly got aknowledged by the cooks na dout waitress, and it was not very busy. they looked very miserable and testy. our waitress, some blone girl was not very nice and hardly came to our table. i was watching all the other waitresses do a great job, but not ours, if you don;t like your job, then don't do it!! she only smiled at the end when she gave us the bill, because she wanted a tip of course! i would go back only to try the apps maybe, but not worth the buffet. And FIX your miserable servers. :-)
Excellent as always!! It is one of my favorite restaurants. The meal is always awesome and the service is great. We have nicknamed our regular waitress "dash" because she is always very speedy and on top of things. The grillers always do a fantastic job.
The only drawback to the place is that the walk down to the washrooms are a little dingy and rundown.
This place was amazing. All you people complaining. It's in downtown London, it's not gonna be the nicest place. Your server tells you that certain food is gonna take longer to cook. suck it up.
Came here with a group of people for new years. took about 30 min of waiting in line at the buffet table before you get your food, then another 10 minutes to have the food cooked in front of you.
On top of it the food was awful.
the only positive thing I have to say about this place is that you get to watch the food get cooked in front of you on the large grill.

Great food, great service, great idea! The wait staff was really friendly. The grillers were accomodating - they cleaned off the grill for my vegetarian friends, and recommended different sauces we could combine. The main course was great, and the dessert was too...mmm cheesecake... I'll definitely recommend it to all my friends!

I love the food. The service can be slow depending on the day and time you visit. I've always enjoyed this place. The dining room is small for the crowd that it attracts.

Excellent!!! My new favourite place. My boyfriend and ihave been there approx. 5 times and each time the food has been fresh and DELICIOUS!!! Service is great too, very often when I return to the table after going back up to the buffet, my drink is waiting re-filled. It's the best!!!

I found this restaurant unique and fun. I figure the bad reviews are from those who are not very creative and didn't get into throwing their own meal together... a little of this, a little of that. I do agree with some of the negative points like ... too cramped, line up to the cooks can take too long, but I don't feel these things justify a rating of 1 or 2.
i think that the mongolian grill is one of the best places to go, me and my gurls had SO MUCH FUN. its a really fun atmosphere.
i was shocked with the bad reveiws though, i thought it was great, and the grill guys talked to us the whole time, it was just awesome!!
