Emily & Kate were fantastic with our curling teams tonight. They were very organized and our meals were out quickly and were awesome.
Delicious food and great service!
Absolutely love it!! My boyfriend and I hit this place up once a week!! (Usually Thursday) service can be a bit slow when it gets VERY busy. But we find it acceptable in those times. We normally sit in the bar. Will always continue to go. Nothing bad to say!!!
We were lured in by the sign out front that advertised half price appetizers after 8:00 p.m. Not knowing the city or where to go to eat, it seemed like a good option. After settling into our motel (which offered a card good for a 20% discount) we went for a late evening snack. Service was great. Advertising was very misleading. Only half the appetizers were included in the 1/2 price special, none of them the ones we wanted. And you had to buy a beverage to qualify. So, we paid full price because it was late and we were too tired to go looking for another place. The soup was ok, but salty. The wings were excellent. I would ask Kelsey's for a little more truth in advertising.
We though we would try again and see if it was any better....should have went somewhere else! We arrived and were seated right away, sat for 10-15 minutes before the server attended the table to tell us he would be back in a few minutes. Sat for another 10 minutes, when another girl asked if our server had been with us. She at least took our drink order, then upon bringing our drinks, our food order. The waiter had NOT been back to the table. The appetizer was okay, spicy chicken bites. Our food was brought by someone else again. The steak Sandwich, was disgusting!!!! To be honest it looked to be a roast beef sandwich, not steak and was totally soggy with mayonaise and mustard? YUCK!!! the fries were cold....The fajitas looked okay, but Turtle Jacks are apparently better according to the person who consumed them. The waiter appeared to see if we wanted another drink, which once again led to a lengthy wait! All in all this restaurant is severly lacking in service, and the food is not very good, sorry but deli roast beef is NOT steak....don't waste your money!!!!
Awful Awful Place. Food was cold and disgusting and considering how long it took to get out to us it should have been the most delicious meal I had ever had. I'm not one to complain normally but I decided to post about because this is the third time we have been and it has just been a regretful experience. The servers are always friendly but unfortunately everything is way too overpriced for what we got all three times and I have yet to have a hot meal there. When we complained the last time about the food, management didnt seem to be any better. The manager that we dealt with was cold and didnt seem to care much. So we paid and left but we will never be back and will never, EVER recommend that place to anyone.
I had heard bad things about the service here so was a little leery of having dinner here a few Friday night's ago...I was pleasantly surprised, not so much by the food - which is OK but a little overpriced in my opinion - but by the service. Friendly, efficient waitstaff...always smiling and very welcoming...makes me want to return. The restaurant itself is nice....with large booths along the perimetre and tables in the centre. Saw a variety of patrons from families with well behaved children, to young couples, and a small group of middle aged women (us) enjoying each others company and some cold beer.... Not a bad place at all!!
Arrrived at 6pm, order was taken at 6:45. Dinner did not arrive until 8:00. Sever never stopped to see if we wanted more drinks-just walked by, asked bus person to get our waitress-(Resturant was not busy) The person that brought our dinner was not our server (manager?) She did mutter something about the wait and ran off. We could have walked out nobody would have noticed.Went to cash to get bill, the same girl that served dinner was at the cash. When I mentioned the poor service & quality she said "I will speak to the server! Will not return! Will not recommend!.
First time visit to the kelseys in Guelph. Went around 9 pm. Lounge and bar areas weren't very busy, we decided to sit on the patio due to beautiful weather. Bartender sat us and said server would be right out.... WRONG. Took 15 minutes just for a drink order. then after she took the order the drinks came about 10 minutes after. We were ready to order but didnt have a chance because the server basically dropped the drinks on the table and ran back inside.. so we waited about 10 more minutes to order food. Not the normal service for a place like Kelseys, being a franchise restaurant. We had a philly cheese steak sandwich and a burger, food was good, what we expected for kelseys. After all said and done we did not leave until just after 11 o clock... 2 hours for a beer each and entrees... not impressed with the service. Tables seated inside after we had arrived had all ate and paid before we even finished our meals.. again terrible service.
We came at a busy time, so expected to wait. So we go to the bar, and the bartenders were asleep at the wheel. They didn't ask us if we wanted drinks, which is weird considering that's their jobs. I had to "interrupt" the bartenders to ask. Other than that service OK. The food was quite good, pretty good steaks, and cold beer. So not a bad restaurant, but could be better, with better bartenders. The food is what you expect, enough food, cooked OK, and satisfactory for a bar / grill. Another suggestion I would have is do something about the decor. We waited at the bar, which had cheap football jerseys on HANGERS. If you want a sports bar feel, at least order autographed jerseys (upper deck is good to buy), thowbacks, or good jerseys in FRAMES. I'm sorry but sports jerseys on hangers look cheap and amature.
Great steak well done and tender. Great atmosphere (sports bar/Grill). The waitress was very friendly. A nature show aabout monkeys was on the tv :) Also the portions were large and very filling
We have eaten at Guelph Kelseys many times and the food is great, service wonderful and friendly, no dissappointments here just good food and great service and a welcome addition to north end of Guelph...
Both times my husband and i ate there the food was nothing special. No pizazz my husbands steak was rare when he asked for it med well when we let the server know he was very accomadating and offered us a free desert. All in all the meal was average+
Have gone there twice and both times the food has been excellent.BUT what really made the difference was the staff who are polite and very attentive and helpful.
