Unprofessional business, $25,000 down the drain
Had a truck Stolen from a large dealership & decided on a gate, After seeing a+ rating on bbb, I explained to Jamie (owner) that I want something secure & solid, & I have residential tenants on property, one is an older gentleman, so if needs an ambulance assistance or in case of fire to figure a solution, or if some one takes too long to drive through to prevent closing of gate as any normal garage door would, so he said no problem to all, the gate would have a magnetic lock & it holds the gate shut, and a photo beam to prevent closing if activated while a vehicle in the way & as far as the fire or ambulance goes its going to be an additional roughly $600 to install this siren sensor after having provided initial quote. We initiated job June2013, said it will take 2 mths, it took over 5 & up to date we never been able to use it once, programming was never finished, tech said he will come back, never did, junction box left unsupported on ground and we found after a rain storm that gate was full of water inside &eventually will have side effect if no drain added& wind alone can swing gate back and forth more than 2’, opener is held by a cheap cotter lockpin which can be removed easily& is already bent from only the wind swinging it. In closing found out what was discussed is not the same as on the contract, photo beam never installed & a shut down switch is installed right beside gate which any amateur thief can figure out how to disable it, even during excavation for foundation they disturbed the soil surrounding a near by flag pole and it leaned to one side and neglected to fix it. Paid $25,000 for a gate I can’t use& very poor communication. Was rushing me to sign the release of funds prior to finishing the job, Once he did I inquired about issues, he sent me an invoice $3000 if I want these options installed while it should be included in the 1st place.
