Absolutely Incredible

I was there with a friend and we had an amazing experience and I will be sending in future friends that are getting married! The staff was so incredible and gave us more than enough time and options to chose from! I'm so happy with Sinders Bridal House!

Appalling Customer Service - DO NOT SHOP HERE

I cannot recommend Sinders to anyone shopping for bridesmaid dresses. While the dresses are beautiful, the Customer Service is absolutely terrible. Each time we visited, we were not helped nor greeted for at least 10 minutes, and when we finally were acknowledged, we felt like an inconvenience every time - even with our appointment booked ahead of time. The Sales Assistant helping us the day we purchased was very rude to one girl. This girl felt bullied over her size, even though she is not large, and felt coerced into buying two sizes too big. The Sales Assistant did not seem to really give her an option to order her proper size, and proceeded to tell her a dress was too small for her as she had to hold it up in place because it was too large. When the dresses finally came in, we were appalled at how large this girl's dress was on her - at least two sizes too big, as we had thought. The new Sales Assistant that we had asked her why on earth she had ordered a dress so big. This girl almost burst into tears, she was so insulted and frustrated. The Sales Assistant proceeded to try and convince her that the dress was easily fixed. It might be an 'easy' fix, but it will cost as it is massive on her. Major hemming, major take-ins around the bust and waist, etc. The material was swimming around her. The worst part of all of this is that neither Sales Assistants would listen to the girl or myself as we advocated our preferences and opinions. We respected their expertise and sales savviness, but when something is clearly too large, the customer can tell - particularly when there is excess material or the dress is falling down. We felt that our thoughts were being blatantly ignored and that we were not being listened to as the Customer. I cannot recommend this place until they improve their Customer Service.

Horrible and Rude Customer Service

After finding my perfect dress in Montreal, I shopped around Ottawa to see if I could find it closer to home. When Sinders told me that they could order my dress, I was thrilled! I had tried on a size 16 in Montreal, which fit me perfectly, and let the seamstress know this. After measuring me, she suggested that I order an 18. When I told her I had fit perfectly into a 16 just before Christmas, her exact words were "well then perhaps you had too merry of a Christmas." Even if it had been true that I had gained weight (which I hadn't, because I ended up with the 16 and it was too big), I find it appalling that an employee of a bridal salon would be allowed to talk this way to customers. Your wedding is supposed to be the most important day of your life, and you don't need (or deserve) someone telling you you're fat. When I called to let the manager know that the woman had said this to me, I was told that if I didn't have her name, there was nothing she could do for me. Save yourself the drive to Carleton Place and the headache of dealing with these horrible people.
