Stitching a hem for a wedding dress - totally botched job
Worst experience ever! My friend brought in a long taffeta gown that needed to be shortened. There was no lining, so the alteration was simply cutting and sewing the hem. She was charged $56.49 in advance for this service. Although she felt the price was high, she paid it so that it would be well done. When she picked up the dress, she tried it on in the store. The dress was completely wrinkled and the hem was visibly uneven all around. The "accredited seamstress" thought it looked fine - WHAT?
