Popeye's Supplements

Lots of selection and great customer service. Was recently helped by Isaiah and was helped with everything I was looking for with lots of info and recommendations. My go to supplement shop.

Very Poor Customer Service

I've been in Kits for the last year and gave them a try last summer for awhile. I stopped going because the people who worked in the store were extremely rude, very obnoxious to deal with, and spent very little time listening to what your fitness needs were and more time pushing their opinions, regardless of your thoughts. The store is also quite overpriced despite the sign out front. Unlike many other local shops, they will fight you on matching prices. I went in to buy a pre-workout mix and I was greeted by a guy who looked through his basket of single-use samples then tried to sell me a container instead. I said I only needed a one time use, since I had my ionized water bottle already full and ready to mix. He scoffed at me, told me I didn't know anything about pre-workout. I then found the sample I wanted to buy and put it on the counter. He got quite aggressive at me and said, and I quote, "so what, you just come in here for a freebie is that your game", to which I showed him the $3 dollars in my other hand. He relaxed for a moment, but as I passed him the toonie and loonie, one of the coins rolled out of his hand back onto the counter. He then proceeded to stare me down until I picked it back up and set it in his hand. It was the most uncomfortable moment I've ever had buying something. He continued to stare me down as I left, to the point where I had to say, "don't worry I won't be back", to which he said, "that's not gonna be a problem for us". I'm still shocked that this guy used his physical presence to try and intimidate me while I was making a purchase. I highly recommend staying away from this place. Perhaps they should not be selling supplements marked "NOT FOR RESALE", then they wouldn't assume people were coming in for a "freebie". NEVER GOING BACK, NOT EVEN ONCE.
