“I love to make people beautiful,” says Elsa Belachew, owner of Piassa Hair Salon. “I love to do hair, cut hair, style it, colour it, braid it.” Cutting and styling hair is Elsa’s true passion, and nothing gives her more satisfaction than totally transforming a client’s look and style into something beautiful. “As a child in Ethiopia I would always braid my friends’ and sisters’ hair,” Elsa says. “Every Sunday there would be a lineup outside my door to do everyone’s hair for school on Monday.” Elsa’s passion for styling hair started early and has never left her, motivating her to approach each client with fresh enthusiasm, eager to see how she can help them look and feel their best.
