Edmonton is a winter city. Love it or hate it, cold and snow are part of the culture, and residents needed a bar to fit that lifestyle. Enter the Rocky Mountain Icehouse.
This versatile venue has a cozy ski lodge feel, but it was built with moveable walls to open the space up for live music acts. “It enables us to close off half the room; we call that room the ski lodge,” says owner Susan Forsey. “If anyone wants a semi-private party they can book the ski lodge. But on a busy Friday and Saturday night we usually use the whole room.”
