Jeana Yeack was just eight years old when she had her first experience with a chiropractor. Her mother suffered from a severe disc herniation and was in excruciating pain that rendered her unable to walk. With the help of a chiropractor, Jeana saw her mother recover and get back on her feet. Conventional medicine had told her that the only way she could recover would be with surgery and a year of bed rest. That wasn’t an option for her, with three young children to look after.
“By the time I was 14, I was having lower back pain myself so I immediately saw the chiropractor that my mom had seen,” says Jeana. “Once I started getting my back corrected, I noticed that my immune system function also dramatically improved. Before that I had a lot of problems with bronchitis and pneumonia. I was always getting sick.”
Jeana was completely blown away that chiropractic could have such a massive impact on her overall health and wellbeing. “I knew that I needed to do this as a career,” she says. Fast-forward to September 5, 1996 and Country Hills Chiropractic & Wellness, a family-based practice offering numerous health and wellness services, is born.
